Tatiana Dourado is a political communication researcher specializing in disinformation, fake news, new media studies, and digital democracy. She holds a PhD in Communication from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil (2020), and is an associate researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD). She also serves as the Director of Training and Literacy at Instituto Democracia em Xeque, a science and technology organization dedicated to conducting research with public impact. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the MediaTrust.Lab - Local Media Lab for Civic Trust and Literacy project at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. Dourado is the author of the book Fake News: Quando Mentiras Viram Fatos Pol�ticos (translated as Fake News: When Lies Become Political Facts), part of the Brazilian Political Communication Association Collection (2021, Editora Zouk). She has also published scientific articles focused on disinformation and media manipulation on digital platforms.
