Theater director, technopolitical strategist, practitioner and researcher, she is an expert in digital rights and democracy; free culture, freedom of expression, disinformation and the strategic use of digital tools for organization, communication, democratic action in the fight against State abuse. In 2017 Rolling Stone magazine chose her as one of the 25 people who are shaping the future in her capacity of initiator of projects such as Xnet. Since 2018 she has been designing and directing the Postgraduate Course in Technopolitics and Rights in the Digital Era first at the Pompeu Fabra University, then at the University of Barcelona. In 2021, she published “Proposal for a sovereign and democratic digitalization of Europe” for the Publications Office of the EU at the request of the President of the European Parliament. She is author of several books such as “Fake You -An Activist’s Guide to Defeating Disinformation – Don’t blame the people, don’t blame the Internet. Blame the power” (2024); “Votar y cobrar. La impunidad como forma de gobierno” (Capitan Swing, 2017); “Tecnopolítica, internet y r-evoluciones” and ""Cultura libre digital – Nociones básicas para defender lo que es de todxs” (both Icaria, 2012). She is member of the Working Group on European Digital Sovereignty and Digital Commons and Infrastructures of the General Directorate of Strategic Planning of the Ministry for Digital Transformation of Spain and she is and has been speaker in the media and advisor to countless citizen organizations and institutions such as the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence of the Government of Spain and the Directorate of Digital Society of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
