Philip Effiom Ephraim holds a Ph.D. in Communications and Media Management from Girne American University, Cyprus, an MA in Media and Communication Studies and a BA in English and Literary Studies both from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. In addition, he holds several other qualifications and certifications in various areas of the humanities and the social sciences from leading global universities. He holds a UK teaching qualification in higher education (FHEA). He is internationally experienced, teaching at universities in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Currently, Philip is an Associate Professor of Communications at Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia. He teaches courses in human and technical communications, and media. Dr Ephraim’s professional experience spans several communication and media roles with leading international and national NGOs. As an academic, his goal is to build the next generation of fearless communication and media professionals who are sound in theory, practical, and cultural knowledge. His research area is at the intersection of digital media, culture, and society; the adoption, impacts, and ethics of new technologies including social mediaand AI in journalism, culture, politics, and organizations.
