Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC). Ph.D. in Communication. He is member of Novos Medios research group (USC) and Latin American Chair of Transmedia Narratives (UNR). He was visiting scholar at Universidad Nacional de Rosario, University of Leeds, Tampere University and HU Utrecht. His research focuses on the impact of technology and platforms in digital journalism and narratives, including several papers on interactive and immersive journalism and its effects, social media journalism, and disinformation and fact-checking. He has edited three books and published articles in Journalism, Journalism Practice, Social Media + Society, International Journal of Communication, and Comunicar, among others.
