Dr. Jorge Moisés Kroll do Prado is a professor at the University of São Paulo, Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters at Ribeirão Preto. He has a PhD in Information Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Since 2020 he has been President of the Brazilian Federation of Associations of Librarians, Information Scientists and Institutions (FEBAB) and since 2015 he has been an elected member of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA). His research interests include scientific communication; the relationship between information, cities and knowledge-based urban development; the information market and the potential of libraries for the development of society.
