Dr. Jing ZENG is a Professor of Computational Social and Communication Science at the Department of Media and Communication Research, University of Zurich. Her research focuses on the sociocultural implications of digital technologies, with a strong emphasis on developing novel methods and conducting cross-cultural and visual media research. Jing has written extensively on topics of misinformation, digital culture, and climate activism. Her work has been published in journals such as New Media & Society, Information, Communication & Society, Digital Journalism, and Mobile Media & Communication. She is the co-author of TikTok: Creativity and Culture in Short Video (Polity, 2022) and has two forthcoming books: Transnational and Transcultural Internet Celebrities: Diaspora Wanghong in China (Routledge) and Technology, Power & Society: Global Perspectives on Digital Transformation (Brill). Jing�s scholarship has been supported by awards and fellowships from Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, and Switzerland.
