Dr. Jason Burton is an Assistant Professor at Copenhagen Business School and an Associate Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. His research examines the computational mechanisms of human reasoning, how digital technologies affect those mechanisms, and how information environments can be (re)designed to promote collective intelligence. Burton has been recognised with publications in academic journals like Nature Human Behaviour and Cognition, awards from the International Conference on Computational Social Science and the ACM Conference on Collective Intelligence, and appearances in popular media outlets like Forbes and El Pais. His work has been sponsored by the Nesta Centre for Collective Intelligence Design, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. He received his PhD in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London.
