Uganda Management Institute

Gerald Kagambirwe Karyeija is an Associate Professor of Public Administration & Management, Programme Manager for the PhD in Administration and Management and Dean, School of Management Science, Uganda Management Institute. He is also an Extra-Ordinary Professor of Public Administration, North-West University and Senior Scholar, University of Lusaka. He is the Chairperson of the ECASSA Institute of Social Protection, Board Member at Uganda Management Institute and Julius Nyerere Leadership Center. His main research interests include Leadership, governance, democracy, public policy and communication, corruption, parliamentary studies, neighborhood accountability assemblies, local governance and higher education. He is a reviewer and editor of a number of academic journals. He is a member of Uganda Evaluation Association, Local Economic Development Network Africa, Uganda Association of Public Administration and Management, Eastern Africa Research and Innovations Management Association, Norwegian Association for Development Research (NFU), Africa Network Norway, African Association of Public Administration and Management and Common Wealth Association of Public Administration and Management.
