Fiona is a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia, Department of Media and Communication. She has become Course Designer and Co-course leader for short-term DFAT funding and QUT International Project programs for Indonesian awardees. She graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Digital Media at Digital Media Research Centre, QUT � Brisbane. She also received an M.Sc in Communication Science from the Universitas Indonesia and B.A (Honours) of Communication Studies (Mass Communication) from the London School of Public Relations - Jakarta. Her research focuses on digital Indonesia, digital media, digital activism, digital media literacy, data activism, social media, political movement, democracy, and young people. Her work has been published in Information, Communication and Society, New Media & Society, Contemporary Southeast Asia, Journal of Media Practice and Education, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Kasetsart Journal of Social Science, and Research Report for Facebook Australia that accompanied their submission to the ACCC Digital Platforms Inquiry, The Conversation, The Jakarta Post, and Co-Author Book with Palgrave (in progress).
