Austin Choi-Fitzpatrick works across the disciplines of sociology, political science, international relations, science and technology studies, and engineering in order to explore enduring challenges related to social change. His books include What Slaveholders Think (Columbia UP) and The Good Drone (MIT Press). Based in California, Choi-Fitzpatrick is on the faculty at the Kroc School of Peace Studies (University of San Diego), a Visiting Associate Professor at the Rights Lab (University of Nottingham), an Affiliated Scholar at the Gilder Lehrman Center for the study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition (Yale University), and a Free Radical Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
