Audrey Mbogho is Associate Professor of Machine Learning at USIU-Africa, where she teaches courses in machine learning and programming and researches applications of machine learning, particularly natural language processing. Audrey obtained her Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the City University of New York. She was Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Cape Town, before returning to Kenya with a vision to help raise the standard of computer science education at home. She was Associate Professor of Computer Science at Pwani University in Kilifi, Kenya, where she also served as Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Audrey is inspired by the excitement to learn she sees in her students, and is committed to delivering a quality, student-centered, education, that has industry and societal relevance, and that includes an honest appraisal of technology, highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses.
