André Lemos is a writer and Full Professor in the Department of Communication and the Postgraduate Program in Communication and Contemporary Culture at the Faculty of Communication at UFBA. Full member of the Academy of Sciences of Bahia (ACB). PhD in Sociology from the Université René Descartes, Paris V, Sorbonne (1995). He was a visiting scholar at McGill and Alberta Universities (Canada, 2007-2008), at the National University of Ireland (2015-2016) and at TIDD - PUC-SP (2022). Visiting professor at universities in Brazil and abroad. Director of Lab404 - Research Laboratory in Digital Media, Networks and Space and "1A" researcher at CNPq. Member of the INCT-DD Steering Committee. His current research is on neomaterialism, communication theories and digital culture (CNPq, PQ / 2019-2024). Author of "Cyberculture. Technology and Social Life in Contemporary Culture" (Sulina, 2023, 9th edition). He has published more than 15 books and numerous national and international articles on digital culture.
