Max Planck Institute for Human Development

Anastasia Kozyreva is a Senior Research Scientist and lead of the "Cognition in Online Environments" research area at the Center for Adaptive Rationality (ARC) at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. She is a philosopher and a cognitive scientist working on cognitive and ethical implications of digital technologies on individuals and society. After completing her Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Heidelberg in 2016, she joined ARC to study rationality and decision-making under uncertainty. Her current research focuses on misinformation policy, including public attitudes to content moderation, and cognitive interventions that could help counteract the rising challenges of false information and manipulation and protect individual autonomy in online environments.
