Melissa Aronczyk is Professor of Media Studies in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University and adjunct Research Professor in Communication and Media Studies at Carleton University in Canada. She is the co-author, with Maria Espinoza, of A Strategic Nature: Public Relations and the Politics of Environmentalism (Oxford University Press, 2022), awarded the Roderick P. Hart Outstanding Book Award from the Political Communication Division of the National Communication Association (USA). She is also the author of Branding the Nation: The Global Business of National Identity (Oxford University Press, 2013), as well as dozens of journal articles on related topics. Her research on how PR affects our ability to communicate about climate change has been featured in U.S. national and international media. She is a member of the Climate Social Science Network (USA) and a Research Associate with the Canadian climate communication organization.
