Taberez Neyazi is an Assistant Professor of Political Communication and New Media & Director of Digital Campaign Asia Project in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Trusted Internet and Community. His research focuses on political communication and public opinion; computational social science; digital, mobile and social media; communication theory; political Islam; and public policy with a geographical focus on India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Asia Pacific. He is currently leading a multi-country project titled "Artificial Intelligence, disinformation and the public good". He also serves on the advisory boards of New Public, which aims to build more flourishing, public-friendly digital spaces. He also serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Press/Politics, Commonwealth and Comparative Politics, and has been elected as International Liaison for the ICA Political Communication Division.
