Gabriela Zago holds a PhD in Communication and Information from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She is an independent researcher at the MIDIARS research lab (Universidade Federal de Pelotas, Brazil), and currently live in the United States, where she works with trust and safety research for a tech company. Her research interests include social network analysis, political conversations, and news circulation in social media.
