Ernesto Calvo (Ph.D. Northwestern, 2001) is a Professor of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland and the director of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Computational Social Sciences (iLCSS). His research focuses on comparative political institutions, political communication, and social networks. He has published five books and over 70 articles, including articles in the leading journals of Political Science and Communication. His research has been recognized by the American Political Science Association (APSA) with the Leubbert Best Article Award, the Lawrence Longley Award, and the Michael Wallerstein Awards. Among his most recent books are "Nosotros contra Ellos" (We Against Them), co-authored with Natalia Aruguete (Siglo XXI, 2023) and "Non-Policy Politics" with Victoria Murillo (Cambridge, 2019), and "Anatom�a Pol�tica de Twitter en Argentina" (Political Anatomy of Twitter in Argentina) (CI, 2015).
