$700,000 grant from the Ford Foundation Helps the International Panel on the Information Environment Further its Mission

The International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE) is pleased to announce a new $700,00 grant from the Ford Foundation to support the IPIE’s activities over the next three years. Ford’s support will contribute to the IPIE’s development of scientific research and its engagement with policymakers, industry, and civil society to produce a healthier global information environment.
Phil Howard, President of the IPIE, said:
"We are immensely grateful to the Ford Foundation for their generous support. This funding will empower us to further our mission of promoting evidence-based understanding and fostering constructive dialogue on a host of issues.”
Over the next three years, this grant will help advance the IPIE’s scientific approaches to the critical issues of our time, including studying information integrity about climate science, establishing a standard for AI that promotes a healthier information environment, and launching the first global summit on the information environment.
